Going above and beyond conventional teaching methods to embrace activity-based learning, the Center of Excellence is a project that aims to redefine education in Sri Lanka. It is the first-ever STEAM Education center in the public sector, with a goal of empowering the children of today to create the world of tomorrow.
STEAM Education is a world recognized approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The short answer is no. We are working with the Ministry of Education to develop a transferable framework for other schools to adapt and implement. Ananda College will be the first school to initiate this pilot project.
